bio.

Jesy g. is a Chicago local with a background in climbing trees, mad doodling, and handstands. When she turned sixteen, garbage changed her life. She rescued an old window from a dumpster and immediately recognized that glass was the perfect medium in which to communicate her world-view. Like the artist's perceptions, her paintings are envisioned and created inversely, on the backsides of 'found' windows.

Inspired by traveling, adventure, and ultimately, her imagination, Jesy g. captures a sense of candid innocence that is fun and evocative. Her signatures -roads, spiders, and band-aids - reflect her brightness of spirit, but also encompass the duality of human experience.

Jesy g. believes that there is peace in chaos, that wearing a mask and wig and riding bicycles can be euphoric, and that the mind is master of reality.

Jesy g. invites you to love the life you live and check out her art, recently displayed at: Art and Science on Halsted and Armitage and Intelligentsia Café on Broadway and Wellington.
